Chocolate Mustache Lollipops February 13 2012, 2 Comments

We make chocolate mustache lollipops often around here. They are just so fun that we never tire of them! They always seem to encourage giggles and silly mustached photos..

Today we made pink strawberry and dark chocolate mustache lollipops to share with our friends for Valentine's Day!

This is an easy peasy project that you can do with kiddos in an afternoon! Follow our Basic Chocolate Molding Tutorial if you're new to chocolate molding.

Tips: Roll the lollipop stick once in the mold to coat the whole top of the stick with chocolate, this makes the stick more secure. Get yourself more than one mold if you plan to make a lot, waiting for the chocolate to harden can become time consuming.

Supply List
• Candy Melts
• Flavoring Oil
• Mustache Lollipop Chocolate Mold
• 3-3/4" Paper Lollipop Sticks
• Disposable Decorating Bags
• 4-3/4" Cello Bags
• Twist Ties

Chocolate Kisses February 14 2011, 0 Comments

Happy Valentines Day everyone!  Here is a chocolate kisses project.. kisses from Layer Cake Shop to you!

Each little homemade chocolate wrapped up in foil feels like a little present!

To make your own chocolate kisses melt your Candy Melts, add a drop of Flavoring Oil, pour your melted Candy Melts into a Disposable Decorating Bag, and pipe into your Small Lips Chocolate Mold. Gently tap your mold on your counter to smooth the candy melt and bring any trapped air bubbles to the surface.  Place in the freezer for a few minutes until they pop right out when inverted.

For more detailed instructions check out our Basic Chocolate Molding Tutorial.

We thought these kisses looked adorable packaged in Hot Pink Glassine Lined Bakery Bags.
